Activity1 Please give a brief outline of the filming activities:  This is a short drama production of a school event – part of the filming is outside in the car park.  It should last for three hours and a maximum of 10 people to include students and an external actor.

All walkways are to be kept clear and free from tripping and blocking hazards.
On set cables to be kept covered with either mats or taped down where ever necessary.

Food & drink supplies
Cast and Crew
No alcohol allowed on set at any times, any crew or cast suspected of intoxication will be removed from set.  All food and drink will be supplied by either university caterers or will be bought in from professional suppliers.
Any spillages will be cleaned up immediately.
We will supply the appropriate foods and drinks for the cast and crew.

Make sure that the exit is clearly marked so if there are any problems the cast and crew are able to get out quickly.
 Make it apparent to the cast and crew that they can leave at any time if they feel uncomfortable and need to get out.

Have a clear understanding of where is safe to film and where is not.
We will gain written permission from the owner of our chosen location stating that they believe that our cast and crew will not be put in any danger.

Clearly mark the wires and cables to prevent people from tripping over them.
Tape all the wires down to stop any incidents from occurring.

Cast and Crew
All cast and crew will be given the appropriate breaks throughout the day.  All crew and artistes when working or performing will be asked not to exert themselves so as to cause illness or injury.
Any artistes required to do any additional performance e.g. running or riding a bicycle etc will be checked prior to filming if they are fit for purpose and will be given adequate rehearsal time prior to filming

General public – arrangements for safety
Public, Cast and Crew
It is our responsibility to be aware at all times of the environment and public presence. Due care and attention will be taken with regard cables, lighting and camera equipment and any other trip hazards that may cause an obstruction or obstacle to any member of the public. All trailing cables should be matted or taped or ramped where necessary. Local police and council have been notified.
High visibility jackets will be worn by crew when filming near roads.

Noise/high sound levels
Public, Cast and Crew
We will make sure notify to all the sounding members of public that we are filming in the close area and we shall be making some noise.
We will have posters up stating that there is filming in process to make sure that people are aware that nothing is actually wrong.

Makes sure that if there are any noise complaints we deal with them in a kind and mature manner.
